About us

Freshney Cleaners was formed in 1989, when the owner Patrick Dennehy and his wife Sharon left Army life after 22 years. They decided to settle down in their hometown of Grimsby and were keen to have their own business.

The opportunity arose from a casual comment from a local pub owner who needed cleaners at his two local public houses. Having flitted between Army houses over the years they were used to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, so this experience enabled them to keep up those standards when cleaning for others once in "civvy street".

Initially the firm took on all contracts it could get, but gradually it became obvious that it was impossible to supervise contracts any distance away. So from then on the decision was made to restrict operations within North East Lincolnshire area. Thus making it easier to maintain a personal supervision of standards and ensure customer satisfaction.

Members of staff are required to provide independent references and where necessary will undergo Police checks. As well as the experience gained since 1989 Freshney Cleaners are members of:
